In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, continuous rain, sometimes heavy and sometimes light, from Sunday evening to Monday morning caused the drains to overflow at many places in the city and dirty water entered the roads and houses. The colonies became like ponds. It became difficult for people to even leave their homes. Due to waterlogging in the morning, school vans and buses got stuck and stopped. While parents who had to drop their children to school themselves were troubled.
On Monday morning, the main road from Shastripuram Square to Tikonia Park was flooded with water up to three feet. Due to overflowing of drains and sewers in Shastripuram A Block, dirty water filled the houses which could be drained out in the afternoon. In Shastripuram itself, people could not come out of their houses due to waterlogging in colonies like Shridwarikapuri, Bhavana Aroma etc.
